Two Different Variations Of Front Cover
This is my initial finished front cover.
This is after I changed some elements of the cover to a bright yellow colour to make it stand out more.

Adding smoke to the image
To add the smoke to this image I used the brush tool in the colour white on an extremely low opacity and did random swirls and flicks. I then used the smudge tool to move the lines around so they appeared more free flowing like real smoke. Next I used the blur tool to make the lines not as prominent and it appeared to look more like real smoke. I then used the brush tool in black with a low opacity to remove the harsh edges from the smoke to make it appear softer and light.
I then wanted to make the cigarette appear to be lit so it looked real. To do this is used the brush tool in an orange colour and added a small dot to the end of the cigarette.
I then changed the colour to a bright red to make the cigarette appear hot and alight.
Finally I added a black dot on the end of the cigarette to represent the ash being created by the cigarette being lit.
Altering the brightness of the image
This is the original image without any brightness/contrast alterations
This is after I increased the brightness and lowered the contrast so more of the models was visible and the image was more powerful.

2nd Draft Mock Up Of Cover
I chose not to use this name when making my draft as when putting it on the page it looks quite pop- like and not the indie rock feel I wanted for my music magazine.
